Context

Music for Perennial Planes is a multidisciplinary project developed in response to Simple Pleasures, a fashion collection by sustainable New Zealand label Kowtow. Sound and composition were comissioned for the project, and a visual identity which supported the sonic release.

The project blends analogue and digital techniques across sound and design to reflect a shared focus on the natural world and material tactility. Organic musical structures are echoed through timeless typography and recognisable natural imagery, forming a cohesive visual and sonic language. The outcome is an intuitive, symbiotic relationship between music, image, and garment, supporting the collection’s emphasis on nature and sustainability.
